The PhD offers you the chance to undertake a systematic programme of work towards the development of new knowledge, and the synthesis of this knowledge within the existing literature base.This Level 8 award is suited to graduates wishing to continue studying in a particular area. It can be an effective route to propose or implement a positive impact on society, culture, the economy, the environment, health and wellbeing, behaviour, policy andor technology.As a PhD researcher, you’ll conduct an original research project supported by a supervisory team. It culminates with a Viva Voce examination of a submitted thesis and the candidate.PhD candidates at Cardiff Met have focused on a wide range of topics including occupational stress, user-centred design, creative writing, athletic performance and data privacy.
