By earning your online Graduate Certificate – Career and Technical Education (CTE) from EWU, you can position yourself as a school leader in student vocational development in just a few months. Through engaging content, you will learn how to practically apply elements of instructional design to resource-based skills and workforce training programs. Develop your aptitude for identifying barriers to student success and deploying strategies that support learners through diversified, work-based learning opportunities. You will also gain hands-on experience by completing an internship in a secondary classroom (grades 7-12) or skills center, along with a digital portfolio of work. One of the first of its kind on the West Coast, the EWU online CTE certificate program features rigorous coursework delivered in a convenient online format—giving you a flexible pathway to help meet the need for more career and technology teacher leaders. In fact, the Professional Educators Standards Board (PESB) in Washington state has determined a teacher shortage in technical, business, and marketing areas in 2021.
