The Master of Engineering (Mechanical) is a comprehensive two-year program that includes 12 units, each dedicated to crucial aspects of mechanical engineering. These units cover design, failure analysis, materials, heat transfer, hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid machines, process engineering, advanced fluid dynamics, gas turbines, advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, computer aided design and manufacturing, finite element method, aerodynamics, data analytics and green energy technologies. The curriculum is crafted to enhance your existing knowledge while introducing sophisticated concepts and techniques relevant to modern mechanical engineering. The program emphasizes the core competencies and skills necessary for mechanical engineers, equipping you with the expertise in mechanical engineering technology and maintenance essential for industry demands. To gain entry into this program, we require applicants to hold: 1. A recognized 3-year bachelor degree in an engineering qualification in a congruent field of practice; OR 2. An EIT Bachelor of Science (Engineering) degree in a congruent field of practice; OR 3. A 4-year Bachelor of Engineering qualification (or equivalent) that is recognized under the Washington Accord or by Engineers Australia, in a congruent, or a different field of practice at the discretion of the Admissions Committee; OR 4. A 4-year Bachelor of Engineering qualification (or equivalent) that is not recognized under the Washington Accord, in a congruent field of practice to this program.
