Associate of Arts in Art Pathway

The Art guided pathways at Perimeter College offers courses in art history, drawing, two-dimensional and three dimensional design, photography, computer design, painting, ceramics, sculpture and portfolio that enable students to explore their career interests. Creative visual thinking is brought to life by a faculty of professional artists who expand skills and prepare students for transfer to four-year programs or for careers as professional artists. The Art Pathways are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

Students must have the following:

Graduation from a U.S. high school

Completion of an approved University System of Georgia (USG) campus-based ESL program of study

Degree completion inside or outside the U.S. where English is the official language of academic instruction

Minimum scores on one of the following approved English proficiency tests:

TOEFL (Paper) – Test of English as a Foreign Language - 523; TOEFL (Internet) – Test of English as a Foreign Language - 69; IELTS – International English Language Testing System - 6; PTE – Pearson Test of English Academic - 58; SAT Critical Reading Score - 430; ACT English Score - 17; EIKEN - Pre-1; MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) - 77; Cambridge English Scale Score - 169 (CPE=180); Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) IGCSE & “O” Level “English” exams “D” or better; UK GCSE “English” exam “C” or better; UK GCE A-Level “English” exam “C” or better; EdExcel International A-Levels and EGCSE English exams “D” or better
