Holmes Institute

Established in 1963, Holmes began building a proud tradition of business excellence with the founding of a commercial college in Melbourne, Australia. By 1986, the institution had established one of Victorias first accredited private English language centres and the Holmes Education Group, which became a respected organization in professional Australian education. In 1987, Holmes introduced High School Preparation programs for international students, followed by the opening of its first interstate campus in Sydney in 1988. Over the following fifteen years, the institution expanded its national campus network to include Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and Cairns. It also introduced Cambridge Teacher Training for English language teachers and launched a comprehensive national Study Tour program in 1989. For more than forty years, Holmes has maintained a strong reputation as a quality education provider. The institution is 100% Australian-owned and has retained the same senior management team since 1988. From that year onward, Holmes steadily increased its involvement in the higher education sector, particularly in the delivery of undergraduate degree programs. The establishment of the Holmes Institute of Higher Education reflected the organizations commitment to its higher education mission. Since 2001, through various partnerships, Holmes has delivered undergraduate degree programs while also offering postgraduate study options. In 2004, the Holmes Institute of Higher Education entered a new phase of quality, degree-based education by introducing programs such as the Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Information Systems, and Bachelor of Fashion Business. Today, Holmes offers a wide range of diplomas, bachelors degrees in business, information systems, and fashion, as well as masters degrees in business administration, professional accounting, and information systems. Through these programs, the institution continues to prepare students for the challenges of a rapidly changing global business environment.
