Our Natural Sciences Undergraduate degree is designed for students with a passion for science across traditional subject boundaries, who want to use their learning to tackle real-world problems. The degree combines a rigorous grounding in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics, with bespoke modules exploring the interconnections between the sciences, enabling you to integrate knowledge for new and original perspectives. The core focus of the degree is on computational and mathematical skills, training you to code, model complex phenomena through simulations, grasp machine learning and AI tools, and harness the power of systems thinking.
From day one, you will apply your learning to real-world projects. Combined with specialised skills training from the Entrepreneurship Institute, this will cultivate your abilities in analysis, creative thinking, leadership, communication, and complex teamwork, providing a significant head start in your future career.
You will spend your third year gaining valuable paid work experience with a year-long placement at a UK company before returning to complete a final year with us. The Faculty has dedicated placement support providing advice and host employer-led events, ensuring you have all the tools to secure the right placement for you.
