Be ready to jump into a career working for TV or radio broadcasters, newspapers, magazines, corporations and as a media entrepreneur or freelancer anywhere in the world. Digital Communications and Media students manage their own website, television news, newspaper, radio station and social media channels right here on campus. Students will gain real-world experience through a 150-hour practicum and a chance to receive the coveted Troy Reeb internship. This internship allows one student a chance to work side-by-side with Chorus Entertainment co-chief executive officer, and Lethbridge Polytechnic alumni, Troy Reeb.

Entry requirements for Lethbridge Polytechnic (formerly Lethbridge College)

High School

Applicants who are currently completing or have successfully completed a Canadian high school diploma from a publicly-funded institution, including successful completion of English 30-2, English 30-1, or an equivalent course, must provide high school transcripts. You do not need to wait until you have completed your high school diploma to apply.

Previous Post-Secondary

Applicants who have not completed high school or Grade 12 English may satisfy the minimum Grade 12 English admission requirement if they have completed at least three (3) post-secondary level credit courses at a publicly-funded institution within the past five (5) years of the application date provided they were in good academic standing in their last term of attendance at that institution. Applicants will still need to meet any other course-specific requirements (eg. Grade 12 Math) for the program to which they are applying.
