During this two-year program, students will pursue broad training in the Biomedical Sciences and focused training in pharmacology, preparing them for a number of career paths such as academic or pharmaceutical research; drug development, safety, marketing, and manufacturing; or patent law.You will learn:Pharmacological principles and theories including pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamicsBiochemical and molecular basis of cell function, Biochemical and molecular basis of how normal cell function goes away in diseaseIdentification of drug targets and biomarkers, Steps involved in drug discovery and developmentPrinciples of Pharmacovigilance and Safety PharmacologyGraduates will have a broad base of knowledge in the Biomedical Sciences and a more focused understanding of Pharmacology, drug discovery and drug safety.
