MSc IT - Enabled Innovation

The MSc in IT-Enabled Innovation is primarily for graduates of any discipline who wish to pursue a career in digital transformation in the private, public and other sectors of the economy. This programme utilises the educational resources provided by the School of Business and the knowledge found at the Innovation Value Institute (IVI) - a research centre within the university - to respond to the need for educational offerings in the management and governance of both established IT systems and new digital technologies. Over the years, IVI has built up a wealth of expertise on what constitutes the essential management and governance difficulties facing digital technologies today and how these challenges can be met by working with leading industry partners in Ireland and abroad. The guiding philosophy for this course is based on the idea that work, processes, and the systemic characteristics of intra- and inter-organisational activities and connections are inextricably linked with IT or digital technology, and cannot be separated from them. This perspective emphasises the systemic relationships, interdependencies and work context. In this socio-technical view, business and IT are intertwined, and work and business processes that are supported by IT are viewed as one.
