Master of Science in Materials Science

Through this MS in Materials Science, you'll delve into electronic, photonic, magnetic, and mechanical materials while exploring the characterization of quantum materials and their integration into multi-scaled and adaptive assemblies. Through both coursework and research opportunities, you'll develop hands-on knowledge and experience in applied engineering and materials science sectors. The Master of Science in Materials Science prepares graduates for meaningful and fulfilling careers in materials science or other science/engineering career paths. Undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A"), or the equivalent.

Admission to many graduate programs is on a competitive basis, and programs may have higher standards than those established by the Graduate College.

Individual program admission requirements include:

A minimum of a B.S. degree in Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent.

The minimum English proficiency scores for most programs are: 80 (TOEFL iBT) or 6.5 (IELTS). Scores must be sent directly to the Center for International Education from the Testing Institution.
