Within our dedicated Lower School Houses, your child will be truly known and cared for by an experienced team led by their HousemasterHousemistress, matron, and tutor. This warm, homely environment ensures your child is known, understood, and encouraged to grow. Houses are open from 7.30am–6.00pm each day, giving families invaluable flexibility. Day pupils benefit from our extended day, with an after-school homework club and three nutritious meals included in the fees. Your child can also board flexibly, with two free nights per term – a great way to experience our structured, sociable boarding life. Small class sizes (15–18 pupils), academic tutors, and tailored timetables mean your child gets the individual support they need. For those requiring extra help, our Learning Support team offers small group sessions in Years 7 and 8, and individual or paired lessons from Year 9 onwards. Based in a purpose-built suite of classrooms equipped with the latest technology, the department offers a calm, focused environment where every pupil can thrive. With inclusive sports teams, creative enrichment, outdoor learning, and fun social events, your child will build confidence, friendships, and a strong sense of belonging – developing skills and memories to last a lifetime. Highlights include free instrumental music lessons in Year 7, Adventurous Learning camps in Year 7 and 8, and an annual Lower School Drama Production. Your child will build confidence, character, and communication skills through leadership opportunities such as Chapel readings, guiding school tours, and taking on Year 8 prefect roles.
