Associate in Science in Early Childhood Education for Transfer

An Associate in Science in Early Childhood Education for Transfer (AS-T) from Skyline College is intended for students who are interested in transferring to a California State University (CSU) campus with a major in Early Childhood Education, or similar major. The Skyline College Associate in Science degree with a major in (AS-T) Early Childhood Education will expose students to the core principles and practices in the field of Early Childhood Education. Our degree meets the needs of students interested in transferring to a four-year college or university in the major of Early Childhood Education as a means of integrating this knowledge into their chosen profession. Students will learn about the development of children from birth through age eight as well as how to provide a safe and stimulating environment that respects each child's family and culture. Students are highly encouraged to gain practical experience in a child development program while pursuing this degree to apply theory and knowledge.

Skyline's AS-T in Early Childhood Education is designed to facilitate the successful transfer to baccalaureate Early ChildhoodChild Development degree programs within the CSU system and will provide students with the lower division breadth and depth in the field of Early Childhood Education.

Students will need to show proof of high school graduation or the equivalent. Proof of English Language Proficiency: A minimum score or higher on any of the following examinations is required for admission- Skyline College is an open-enrollment school with a free application process. You need a minimum of TOEFL iBT 56, IELTS 5.5, or Duolingo 85. Complete a minimum of 60 CSU transferable units; Earn a minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least a 2.0 in all CSU transferable coursework.
