The post-baccalaureate accelerated Bachelor of Science in nursing option allows students with a bachelor’s degree to attain a Bachelor of Science (BS) with a major in nursing through three semesters and one summer session. It is a fast-paced curriculum with a combination of classroom instruction and clinical experiences for students seeking a second baccalaureate degree. The School of Nursing is committed to creating a supportive community that champions student success through inclusive education. This program equips students to drive change and promote health equity in the dynamic field of healthcare. Students engage in the same high-quality coursework and clinical experiences as the traditional first degree baccalaureate progression, but at an accelerated pace. Upon successful completion of the accelerated option, graduates are qualified to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) for registered nurse licensure and pursue further graduate education. Students must be dedicated and willing to attend classes as many as five days a week and devote an appropriate amount of time to their studies in order to be successful. The full-time program begins in August (fall semester).
