Bachelor of Social Work

Our internationally recognised four-year program allows you to qualify as a professional social worker while also taking two years of tertiary studies in other areas of interest such as sociology, diversity studies or gender studies.This course prepares you for employment in a diverse and changing field, in which your capacity to transfer knowledge and skills across contexts will be essential.The Bachelor of Social Work is an undergraduate degree that will develop your ability to be reflective, versatile and skilled in a range of practice areas, and able to translate professional values into action.You will study core units in sociology and social work, and you will add breadth to your degree by taking elective units from Arts and Social Sciences subject areas or the shared pool.In your final year, you will undertake field education units. You will also have the option to complete an honours thesis in your final year.
