Bachelor of Arts (Flexible Major)

Through the Flexible Major program, The University of Winnipeg provides you with the opportunity to customize your university studies in order to address your unique interests and goals. An increasing number of students find interdisciplinary study rewarding. By expanding beyond “normal” major boundaries, courses are combined in creative, non-traditional ways, allowing you to organize a program of study that is both personally interesting and professionally relevant. With the assistance of a Faculty Sponsor and an Advisory Committee, you can design your own major related to a central theme or focus. Student-Designed Majors usually combine courses from three University departments.

The language of instruction at The University of Winnipeg is English. Students must have a level of ability in English that allows them to participate in all aspects of university study, including lectures, reading, writing, and discussion. If English is not the student’s first/primary language and they are not from an English Exempt Country, they must provide supporting documentation to show they meet one of the conditions below. Students will not be admitted until this requirement has been met. English language measures older than two years will not be considered.
