Sports Coaching - CertHE

Get stuck in from day one, learning through a combination of hands-on coaching and theory. Our 1-year Sports Coaching Cert HE is equivalent to the first year of a degree and is recognised as a Higher Technical Qualification approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education.  Get grips with the basics of sports and exercise psychology and learn how to encourage others to reach their potential.  Understand the workings of the human body, and how the skeleton, muscles, nervous system and cardiovascular system work together when we move.  Explore approaches to coaching children of all ages and learn how to motivate different individuals towards different goals.  Look at contemporary issues in sport and get an overview of different workplace settings, including health, education, and sport.  If you’re looking for a sports coaching course in Manchester, check out our Sports Coaching Cert HE and unlock your greatness at UA92.  This 1-year course is the perfect stepping stone to a full Sports Coaching degree. If you pass the Cert HE successfully, you will automatically be eligible to progress to the second year of the 3-year degree programme.   If you choose to leave after the 1-year Cert HE, you’ll walk away with a valuable level 4 qualification which will support your job applications in the sector.   Whatever you decide, you’ll be on your way to a rewarding coaching role at a school, local authority, leisure centre or professional sporting organisation.  Alongside your course modules, you will engage with the 92 Programme, which is built into every degree and tailored to each subject area. Engaging with the 92 Programme is a requirement for all students and will count towards your overall grade. Through taught sessions, immersive experiences and coaching, you will build confidence, resilience, wellness, self-reflection and professionalism, skills designed to support your future success.
