Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy/Master of Arts in Urban Affairs and Public Policy

The Biden School offers a combined 4plus1 Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Public Policy and M.A.in Urban Affairs & Public Policy (MA) program that allows students to complete both the BA and the MA in a total of five years of full-time study. All requirements of both degree programs must be satisfied and up to 12 credits of graduate coursework may be dual counted to satisfy requirements of both the BA degree and the MA degree. Public policy decisions are the means by which communities address challenges such as health, education, housing, energy, poverty, economic growth and environmental sustainability. Public policies are the choices made by societies that drive public investments, create laws and regulations, establish services and security, guide markets and businesses or allocate benefits and costs to citizens. Public policy draws from many disciplines, including political science, law, economics, sociology, history, urban studies, geography and environmental studies. Policy choices shape the future of communities and change the world.

Send official transcripts/examination results for all secondary and post-secondary work to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.Provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or academic advisor. Letters must be sent directly from the recommender to our office.
