Our BSc Computer Science course is the most flexible of our courses in computing, allowing you to choose from a wide choice of optional modules and to specialise in areas as diverse as assistive technologies, computer games, artificial intelligence, evolutionary computation, Big Data and robotics. GCSE Mathematics at grade C/4 is required. A-levels: BBB\u2013BBC or 120\u2013112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of two full A-levels, including a grade B in Chemistry or Biology and a second science or Mathematics. Psychology, Statistics, Physics, Applied Science, Human Biology, Geography, PE, and Sociology (case-by-case) are all acceptable as second science A-levels. BTEC: DDM\u2013DMM or 120\u2013112 UCAS tariff points from at least the equivalent of two full A-levels. Combined UCAS tariff qualifications: 120\u2013112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of two full A-levels or equivalent, including a grade B in Chemistry or Biology and a second science or Mathematics. BTEC DDD may be considered depending on subject and units studied. IB: 30\u201329 points or three Higher Level certificates with 555\u2013554, including Higher Level Chemistry or Biology and a second science or Mathematics at grade 5. Acceptable second science subjects at Higher Level include Computer Science, Design Technology, Physics, and Sport, Exercise and Health Science. The GCSE Maths requirement can also be met with SL Maths grade 4, HL Maths grade 3, or IB Middle Years Maths grade 4.
