Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation

This program is designed for students interested in conserving the built and natural heritage of their communities and was created in accordance with National Council for Preservation Education standards – the highest standards in the field. Coursework incorporates ideas and topics from related disciplines, such as urban planning, architecture and history to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to work in this exciting area. Students will complete 18 credit hours of coursework covering the history, theory and methods of historical preservation. A studio or internship component offers the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the field.
