Certificate in Nonprofit Administration

The Department offers four graduate-level certificates: Public Policy, Public Administration, Nonprofit Administration and Law, Public Policy and Public Administration. The courses required for these certificates are the same courses used for the MPA program. The courses in each of these certificate programs can fully be applied to the Master of Public Administration Program if a student decides to do this. A student must contact the MPA Director in their final semester of their certificate program to make this change. The Certificate in Nonprofit Administration is designed for students wishing to develop professional competencies relating to nonprofit management.

To be granted full admission, applicants must hold the equivalent of a U.S. baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. Usually, transcripts will be evaluated by the Graduate School, however, in unusual circumstances, the University may require applicants to submit their credentials to an outside agency before an admission decision will be made. Applicants whose native language is not English must submit an acceptable English language proficiency test score
