A PhD is for students who wish to devise an independent research project which will result in an original contribution to knowledge in the subject area. The Graduate School is the centre of the research student community at Roehampton. All research students belong to the Graduate School in addition to their Academic School. To enter the PhD programme you are expected to hold a master's degree in a relevant subject area or in some cases, be able to provide evidence of equivalent experience and learning acquired in a professional context.
