The Full-Time MBA experience at the McCombs School of Business allows you to immerse yourself in learning, exploration, and developing meaningful relationships with your classmates. You'll take classes at Rowling Hall on The University of Texas at Austin campus, and the flexible curriculum gives you the option to specialize in one of 20 concentrations, 14 of which are STEM certified.The field of investment management involves the analysis of various types of financial securities and the management of investment portfolios. Students graduating with this background commonly start their careers as analysts for investment funds, investment banks, or other financial institutions. In these positions, they are responsible for analyzing complex financial instruments including common stocks, fixed-income securities, futures, options, and different forms of derivative securities. As investment bankers, they become involved in the trading of financial instruments, in the analysis of mergers and acquisition decisions, and in helping corporations with their equity and debt financing. This concentration is supported by the AIM Investment Center.

This includes all relevant application components - essay, transcripts, self-reported test scores, letter of recommendation, resume, etc.All Full-Time MBA applicants are required to submit a GMAT, GMAT Focus, GRE, or EA score. We strongly suggest that all applicants have at least two years of full-time post-bachelor's work experience (not internships). Full-time work experience is calculated up until the time of enrollment (the start of classes). This encompasses all work completed since your bachelor's degree, including teaching, military service, and government experience (e.g. the Peace Corps).Cover Letter and Optional StatementWe require one recommendation from a person who has supervised your work and/or assessed your performance. The Admissions Committee limits each application to one letter of recommendation and cannot accept additional recommendations.The Graduate School requires applicants to have earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or a comparable degree from a foreign academic institution.A grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or a comparable GPA in upper-division work\u2014junior- and senior-level courses\u2014and in any graduate work already completed is also required
