Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.)

The University of Toledo’s School of Nursing houses the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program. Our graduates become registered nurses and work in a variety of roles and settings – hospitals, schools, jails, academia and more. admission pathways All students are initially admitted into Pre-Nursing. Upon completion of the pre-nursing curriculum, there is a competitive admission process for the Upper Division. admission requirements into pre-nursing Direct Guaranteed Admission Pathway Requirements (only for First-time freshmen or First-time adult students): High School GPA of 3.8 or higher through our test-optional pathway OR High School GPA of 3.6 or higher and ACT score of 23SAT score of 1130 AND Achieve and maintain a UToledo GPA of 3.5 to have a guaranteed seat in the program. You are considered a freshman if you are coming to UToledo directly from high school and have never attended university. If you took college courses while enrolled in high school, you are still considered a freshman.

Minimum GPA: 2.75

You are not guaranteed a spot in the Nursing curriculum and must enter a competitive admission process for the professional division after taking two years of pre-nursing courses.

Direct Admission to Bachelor of Nursing

To qualify for direct admission to professional division of Nursing, you must have a minimum 3.6 GPA and a 23 ACT or 1130 SAT score.

High school 3.8 GPA or higher is required for test-optional pathway.

If you qualify for direct admission, you are guaranteed a seat in the professional division of the program as long as you maintain a 3.5 UToledo GPA.

The priotiy application deadline for the direct admission to Nursing is January 1.
