Honours Bachelor of Science in Physical Sciences

Our program is designed to give you the flexibility to follow your interests, whether you want to focus your learning with one of our specialized streams or combine the disciplines that fascinate you most. You’ll develop a strong foundation in the general sciences, including mathematics, with an emphasis on astronomy, physics and physical chemistry. You’ll learn to design and execute experiments, use your knowledge of physical principles to find solutions to problems, integrate theoretical approaches into your work and harness mathematical and computational modelling to gain insights. Throughout our wide range of dynamic courses, you’ll examine a closely related group of topics, and we emphasize co-ordination across subject areas to give you a deeper, multifaceted understanding of the sciences. You can also choose to pursue parallel major programs in mathematical sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, and deepen your expertise in these fields. Whether you're fascinated by the cosmos, chemical properties or the laws of motion, our program offers a customizable and well-rounded education that prepares you for careers in research, industry, education and beyond.
