English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) provides you with an opportunity to learn English language in context to prepare you for university study. The course will allow you to develop the foundations of English for higher level academic study. The program involves three modules of study at the intermediate level. You will have opportunities to acquire and practise language skills, such as writing explanations and argument essays and learning an academic language for spoken presentations. Lessons are designed around topical issues to encourage discussion and critical thinking. In addition, you will be encouraged to develop independent learning skills in preparation for higher academic study.
