Master of Sustainable Tourism

Graduates of the program will be equipped to deliver sustainability and innovation outcomes through working in a variety of managerial, operational, policy, planning and research roles. The program allows students to complete majors in a variety of themes, including human resource management, innovation and entrepreneurship, management, marketing, and planning and place making. Students are provided pathways to employment through work placements, applied projects and opportunities to engage with high-profile industry and government partners.

Master of Sustainable Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management (2 years full-time, or equivalent) Applicants must have successfully completed a bachelor degree, or higher, in any discipline; OR an advanced diploma, or equivalent, in tourism, travel, hospitality, event management, heritage, geography, social science, cultural studies, humanities, business, environmental management, or a related discipline AND five years full-time equivalent work experience at a managerial or professional level in roles related to tourism, travel, hospitality, event management, heritage and/or the visitor economy. 120cp Master of Sustainable Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management (1.5 years full-time, or equivalent) Applicants must have successfully completed a bachelor degree, or higher, in tourism, travel, hospitality, event management, heritage, geography, social science, cultural studies, humanities, business, environmental management, or a related discipline; OR a bachelor degree, or higher, in any discipline AND a minimum of two years full-time equivalent work experience in roles related to tourism, travel, hospitality, event management, heritage and/or the visitor economy; OR a bachelor degree, or higher, in any discipline AND a minimum of five years full-time equivalent general work experience; OR an advanced diploma, or equivalent, in tourism, travel, hospitality, event management, heritage, geography, social science, cultural studies, humanities, business, environmental management, or a related discipline AND five years full-time equivalent work experience at a managerial or professional level in roles related to tourism, hospitality, event management, heritage and/or the visitor economy. 80cp Master of Sustainable Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management (1 year full-time or equivalent) Applicants must have successfully completed an honours degree, graduate certificate, graduate diploma or higher, in tourism, travel, hospitality, event management, heritage, geography, social science, cultural studies, humanities, business, environmental management, or a related discipline; OR a bachelor degree in tourism, heritage, geography, social science, cultural studies, humanities, business, hospitality, events, environmental management, or a related discipline AND a minimum of two years full-time equivalent work experience in roles related to tourism, travel, hospitality, event management, heritage and/or visitor economy.
