Frequently Asked Questions
Is the IDP Study Abroad Exhibition free to attend?
Yes, registration and attendance are completely free for students, parents, and guardians.
What if I haven't decided what I want to study?
That's completely fine
The exhibition is designed for students at different stages of their study abroad journey. Our counsellors can help you explore courses and destinations based on your interests, academic background and future goals.
Which countries can I explore at the exhibition?
You can explore study opportunities with universities from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada and Ireland.
Can I speak directly to university representatives?
Yes. Participating universities will have representatives available for students to ask questions about their courses, entry requirements, scholarships, applications and student experience.
Can I apply to a university at the exhibition?
Yes If you've found an option you're interested in, IDP counsellors can assist you with the application process.
Can I get an offer at the exhibition?
Selected universities may offer eligible students an in-principle assessment or offer through the IDP Live App, subject to the university's requirements and document verification.
An in-principle offer does not necessarily constitute a final admission decision.
Will there be scholarships?
Scholarship availability depends on the university and programme. Speak with university representatives and IDP counsellors at the exhibition to find out what opportunities may be available to you
Do I need IELTS before applying?
Not necessarily
English language requirements differ by university, course and destination. Some students may have alternative pathways or accepted qualifications.
Our counsellors and IELTS specialists can help you understand what you need for your chosen study option.
Can parents attend?
Absolutely
Parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend. Studying overseas involves important decisions around finances, accommodation, safety and student support, so having the whole family involved can be helpful.
I'm planning to study overseas in 2027 or later. Should I attend?
Yes.
Starting early gives you more time to research courses, compare universities, prepare for English language requirements, explore scholarships and plan your finances.
The earlier you start, the more options you have.
