Programmes:

Applicants must

Be a citizen of or be granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person
Be permanently or continually resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
Hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) standard, or lower second class level plus a relevant postgraduate qualification usually a Masters degree
Have met all English Language conditions, as stated in your academic offer letter from Durham University,
The CSC cannot assess work experience in lieu of this minimum academic qualification
Not have studied or worked for one (academic) year or more in a developed country
Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship

Applicants are required to sign an undertaking at the time of application that they:

Have not studied for one (academic) year or more in a high income (developed) country
Have not worked for one year or more in a high income (developed) country
Are themselves, or through their families, unable to pay to study in the UK
Will return to their home country within one month of the end date of their award
