Selection criteria:
If students participate in a minimum of 5 of our outreach activities during their A Level/Level 3 studies and will be joining us for their undergraduate studies in September 2024, they may be eligible for a substantial cash scholarship of £2,000. This will be paid to students in three instalments during their first year.
Students will need to meet the following criteria to be eligible for the GREat Skills Scholarship:
- Students will need to be studying at one of our targeted schools and colleges.
- Students need to be studying level 3 qualifications (A level, BTEC Level 3, T Levels, Access, IB or any other Level 3 qualifications) which hold UCAS points and will be receiving their final results in the Summer 2025.
- Students need to have received an offer to study a full-time undergraduate course (including extended programmes) at our Greenwich, Avery Hill or Medway Campus (excluding the Medway School of Pharmacy), which commences in September 2025.
- Students will be a new full-time undergraduate, paying the maximum home tuition fee of £9,535
- Students need to have participated in a minimum of 4 of our outreach activities, of which 3 must be physical/in-person and 3 must be from GREat Skills/Big Ideas as main attendance.
Please note, that where we receive a large number of scholarship nominations, priority will be given to submissions from those within underrepresented backgrounds, e.g. POLAR 4 Q1 and IMD Q1 (areas with the lowest proportion of young people who participate in higher education). We reserve the right to change this criteria subject to guidance from the OfS. A committee will review all applications and award scholarships on merit.
