Faculty of Science Scholarship for Online Masters Students

Scholarships of £1,900 are available to new students joining one of our online programmes in September 2026.

• MSc Applied Statistics (online)
• MSc Applied Statistics in Health Sciences (online)
• MSc Applied Statistics in Finance (online)
• MSc Applied Statistics with Data Science (online)

Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to candidates who demonstrate excellent academic performance (current and/ or previously gained) and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience.

Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis. Awards may be allocated early in the application cycle and so making an early application for admission is advised.

In order to be considered for a Faculty of Science Online Masters Scholarship, candidates must:

• be a new student holding an offer of admission for an online MSc in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics for September 2026 entry.
• be self-funded. Students who receive full scholarships, for example from a government office or embassy, will not be eligible.

Terms and conditions

• Applicants must meet all of the above eligibility criteria to be considered for a Faculty of Science Online Masters Scholarship.
• Awardees must register on an online Faculty of Science Masters degree for September 2026 entry and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria throughout their studies. The scholarships cannot be deferred or transferred to any other entry points.
• Online Master's degrees in the Faculty of Science are studied part-time over two or three years. The scholarship will be awarded towards the payment of a student's tuition fee as a £634 award in each of the three years of study, or a £950 award in each of the two years of study, subject to academic progression.
