What is the GREAT Scholarship?

The GREAT Scholarships program is a prestigious initiative funded by participating UK universities in collaboration with the British Council and the UK government’s GREAT Campaign. This scholarship provides international students with at least £10,000 in financial support for a one-year master’s program in the UK. 

For the 2025-2026 academic year, 18 master’s scholarships are available for students from Turkey. These scholarships offer study opportunities in various fields at top universities across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. 

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the GREAT Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

• Be a citizen of Turkey – Applicants must hold Turkish citizenship. 
• Hold a bachelor's degree – A relevant undergraduate degree and demonstrated motivation in the chosen field are required. 
• Meet English language requirements – Applicants must fulfill the English language proficiency criteria set by the university they are applying to. 
• Demonstrate academic and personal achievements – Applicants should show strong academic performance and a potential connection to the UK. 
• Participate in networking events – Scholarship recipients should be willing to join networking events and share their experiences. 
• Act as a scholarship ambassador – Recipients should maintain communication with the British Council and their university during and after their studies, serving as ambassadors for the GREAT Scholarships.
