Bachelor of Education (16month)

After you complete your first degree, you may enrol in Acadia’s Bachelor of Education (BEd) program. This full-time program is offered in either a traditional two-year format or a 16-month consecutive format.Our BEd program is offered at the elementary level and secondary level. Its rigorous training will provide you with the broad skill set you need to teach young children. It will also provide the subject-specific expertise you need to help students reach more advanced levels of education.Society will always need teachers and those with the skills an education degree provides. If you study to be a teacher, you will always be highly employable. All these fields offer you the chance to help improve education systems and processes.In education, you will learn in a small, supportive, and challenging class environment. You will be able to practise what you’re learning, with up to 20 weeks of supervised field experience. In your second year, you may have opportunities for international field placements. As a graduate of our program, you will be prepared to take on a teaching position in any number of settings.

Official transcripts from all educational institutions attended. IB Diploma including IB English with an overall score of 24 or better.If you are admitted to Acadia University with a score of 30 or higher on the IB Diploma, you will receive 30 hours of university credit.
