Mechanical Engineering BS

The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program includes the study of mechanical design, thermal-fluid systems, applied mechanics, and automation. The mechanical engineering student is prepared in all of these areas to analyze and design complex mechanical systems. Graduates can specialize in areas such as energy conversion systems, mechanisms and machines, manufacturing, materials, automation, and applied robotics through elective courses.

International students applying for freshman admission must have graduated from a college-preparatory high school program and must not have completed or attempted any college or university coursework after high school graduation. Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B) on the U.S. 4.0 grading scale. SAT or ACT scores are not required for admission, although submitting higher-level test scores may help students qualify for higher-level English and/or mathematics courses.
