Diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts Management

Humber’s Baking and Pastry Arts Management program is an international innovator in pastry education. Our 2-year Baking and Pastry Arts Management diploma program will give you the skills and training needed to master classic pastries, artisan and specialty breads, chocolate confections and showpieces, complex celebration cakes, sugar artwork, stunning plated desserts, and more Throughout the program, you will become proficient in all aspects of baking and pastry arts management, as well as develop entrepreneurial and business skills. You will learn to develop dessert menus and marketing materials, as well as obtain a nationally recognized food safety and sanitation certification. You will receive a complete chef’s uniform for all practical lab classes, as well as a complete pastry kit with high-quality tools. You’ll also take writing proficiency and general arts and science classes, as well as courses that provide the communication and critical thinking skills necessary for successful career development long-term. Then you’ll have an opportunity to apply these skills for a work-integrated learning experience or study abroad option, building your résumé and establishing valuable industry contacts.

To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses: Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent) Three Grade 11 or Grade 12 C, M or U courses in addition to those listed above or Mature student status or College or university transfer status
