Learners will acquire the skills needed to move IT projects from conceptualization to implementation and maintenance using various project management methodologies and frameworks. Throughout the program, learners will immerse themselves in information security management, software management, quality assurance, and organization principles and behaviours, among other areas. Learners will work with agile frameworks, especially those commonly used in the IT industry such as Scrum and Kanban. They will learn to differentiate between traditional Waterfall and Agile project management, and more importantly, understand when to apply each of them effectively in IT projects. Throughout the program, learners will use cutting-edge technology and will be exposed to the current industry trends to prepare them to thrive in a dynamic IT work environment. The program culminates in an experiential learning opportunity such as capstone where learners examine a real-world IT project implemented by an external industry sponsor.
