Certificate in Emergency Communications and Response

You can stay calm in an emotionally charged situation. You can think clearly even when you’re in a stressful position. You want to help others and believe you have what it takes to perform in an emergency situation. Emergency communications officers are a vital link in emergency situations and can be the difference between life and death in a crisis. As technology and services evolve, highly trained professionals with the skills and confidence to keep a level head under pressure are in demand. This full-time, eight-month certificate program accepts applicants each fall. In the final month, you participate in a field placement that allows you to put theory to practice in different types of communication centres.
