Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders/ Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology Accelerated

Students of almost any major can earn two degrees in five years for purpose-driven career acceleration in Sacred Heart's 41 Master of Public Health program.

Sacred Heart University offers an accelerated (41 BA/BS-MPH) option for qualified students to earn an undergraduate and graduate degree within a five-year timeframe. Students save time and money by taking graduate coursework during their senior year, allowing them to begin the next phase of their career sooner, with more advanced skills and experience.

International students are eligible to apply to the undergraduate program for full-time study at Sacred Heart University if they have completed the equivalent of a United States secondary-school education (approximately twelve years of formal education) and have the appropriate diploma or satisfactory results on leaving examinations.

The Communication Disorders program accepts students following their second semester of Undergraduate course work. Requirements for admission into the major include a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and a minimum grade of C in the following courses: Introduction to Communication Disorders (CMD 200) and Introduction to Communication Disorders Lab (CMD 201), Concepts in Biology I (BI 111) and Concepts in Biology I Lab (BI 113) and Introduction to Psychology (PS 110).

3+2 Accelerated Progam

Students usually complete the CMD major as a four-year bachelor’s degree program. Students have the option of completing the major as part of a three-year accelerated 3+2 BS to MS in Speech-Language Pathology.

For all non-native English speakers, an official English language proficiency examination is required. The following examinations and minimum scores are accepted:
