Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science/ Master of Science in Software Engineering (Accelerated)

Saint Louis University's computer science B.A. to software engineering M.S. accelerated program allows a student to complete both the Bachelor in Arts in Computer Science and the Master of Science in Software Engineering at SLU in less time than if the degrees were pursued independently. Students enrolled in SLU's graduate program in software engineering develop and create design strategies using hands-on projects and modern software tools to gain knowledge, skills and experience. Students discover critical design strategies that allow for continual innovation throughout their careers. Guided by outstanding professors, much of the learning is team-based in small classes. The Department of Computer Science at Saint Louis University offers both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. The B.A. curriculum includes a broad liberal arts study and can be combined with a second major or minor in fields such as art, criminal science or psychology. SLU's accelerated master's program allows SLU undergraduate computer science majors to earn both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in five years. Students combine a B.A. or B.S. in computer science with a master's degree in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence or bioinformatics and computational biology.

Students wishing to apply to this accelerated program should have completed all 2000-level coursework required of the computer science bachelor's program and have completed at least 75 credits at the time of application. At the time of application, students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 and a GPA of at least 3.00 in their computer science coursework.
