Bachelor of Arts in International Business

The International Business (IB) program at San Diego State University integrates course work in business administration, a foreign language, and regional/cultural studies to create a truly interdisciplinary major. Our major culminates in a unique Bachelor of Arts degree offered jointly by the College of Arts and Letters and the Fowler College of Business.

Our international business major integrates coursework in business administration, a foreign language and regional/cultural studies for a truly interdisciplinary major. This renowned program ranks No. 13 in the nation among public universities by U.S. News and World Report. You will engage directly with your region and language of emphasis through a semester abroad experience either an approved study abroad program or an international internship customized to give you specific hands-on experience.

If you are graduating from a high school outside of the United States, your application will be reviewed on the following admission criteria Completion of high school/secondary level. A certified copy of graduation certificate or diploma will be required prior to enrollment at SDSU. Review the Requirements by Country for country specific information. A minimum U.S. equivalent GPA (grade point average) of 3.0 (B grade or 80 percent) or higher. English Proficiency: If you are attending or have attended a high school where English was not the primary language of instruction, you must meet university-level competence in English through one of the following: TOEFL \u2013 Passing score is 80 iBT and 550 paper or higher. IELTS \u2013 Passing overall score is 6.5 or higher.
