The MSc Entrepreneurship programme prepares students to launch and scale innovative, for-profit ventures. From the outset, students engage in customer discovery, rapid prototyping, and investor pitching. Delivered by the UCL School of Management in the iconic One Canada Square building, Canary Wharf, the programme offers access to London’s start-up ecosystem, potential co-founders, and funding networks. Students gain practical experience, entrepreneurial skills, and strategic insight to build impactful businesses in a competitive global market. Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and solving real-world problems through scalable solutions. This programme equips students with the practical skills and strategic mindset needed to navigate the complexities of building a business in today’s competitive landscape. From Term 1, students engage in customer discovery, product development, and rapid prototyping, learning how to identify market needs and test viable solutions. The curriculum covers key areas such as customer development, product development, finance, marketing, team building, and venture strategy, with a strong emphasis on experiential learning and entrepreneurial activity. Students work collaboratively from the beginning, applying lean start-up principles and pitching ideas to industry professionals. In Term 2, selected students may study abroad at Singapore Management University, gaining exposure to Asia’s dynamic start-up ecosystem and broadening their global perspective. This option is available to both full-time and part-time students, subject to availability. Term 3 culminates in a supervised dissertation project, which may involve developing a start-up or conducting a field investigation into a business opportunity. The programme is delivered at UCL School of Management's Canary Wharf offices, placing students in the heart of London’s financial and innovation hub, with access to a thriving entrepreneurial network.
