Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering - Naonengineering

This program provides an introduction to the principles of electronics, electromagnetics, and photonics as they apply at the nanoscale level. By selecting this option, students will learn about the processes involved in the fabrication of nanoscale structures and become familiar with the computer-aided design tools necessary for analyzing phenomena at high levels of miniaturization. Focusing on the study, design, and fabrication of materials less than a micrometre in size, nanotechnology has thousands of potential consumer and industrial applications, ranging from the speed of computers to the quality of drinking water in remote communities. The Faculty of Engineering is widely recognized as one of the top Engineering schools in Canada, with globally renowned professors, state-of-the-art labs and teaching spaces, and highly specialized facilities and areas of research.Throughout your degree, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, participate in research, and contribute to team projects both inside and out of the classroom. Foundational/Qualifying Year: All students in this first year of study follow a common curriculum. At the end of the year, students choose among the various specialized Engineering programs offered and between the traditional and cooperative education streams. We have over 35 streams to choose from.

Transfer Students: Students with transferable post-secondary coursework taken outside of the Faculty of Engineering are considered for admission based on GPA and relevant transfer credit.
