IDP Student Receives US$3,000 From Flywire

Junico’s journey began in November 2024 with a simple inquiry about IDP's services. What seemed to be a simple step turned out to be a giant leap toward his goals of studying abroad.

Later that month, he saw himself taking and passing the IELTS test. And by September 2025, he was already prepared to fly to New Zealand for his studies.

"As someone unfamiliar with the many steps an international student must navigate, I've learned the importance of having trusted partners by my side. IDP has been a constant source of guidance since Day 1. Their education counselors supported me through every stage, and I've always felt reassured by their expertise," he said in a video message sent to IDP.

IDP was recommended to Junico by his friend, who, according to him, is now already studying in Australia.

Junico gives a shoutout to the IDP staff who helped him throughout this journey. He is very thankful to his initial counselor, Tanya Valdez, who guided him in the first part of the study abroad process.

Tanya left IDP Philippines in January 2025 to pursue her own studies in Australia. Because of that, Junico was transferred to another counselor, Jim, who assisted him in the latter parts of his journey.

"[Jim] and the rest of the counselors who I've interacted with were very helpful and very knowledgeable. I really felt the authentic and genuine desire to help students like myself become successful," Junico said.

The future international student also extends his thanks to Ganises Chato, IDP's CAP Specialist for Australia and New Zealand. Ganises was the one who processed Junico's application to his chosen university.
