Key highlights of the study abroad fair

IDP Philippines' Study Abroad Fair is held twice yearly in February and September. There are times, however, when another date is added in May.

Here are some of the things you can expect if you decide to join:

  • About 50 to 80 universities and colleges from Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, New Zealand, and Ireland are typically invited, including top universities (such as Australia’s Go8 and the UK’s Russell Group).

  • Attendees can speak directly to university representatives and admissions officers to understand their school’s academic requirements and available courses.

  • Some schools offer free application fees and IELTS test waivers. IDP also provides exclusive rewards for event attendees.

  • Filipino students can benefit from personalized consultations with IDP’s counselors on-site, making the application process smoother and hassle-free.

  • You can also join free seminars on study destinations, visa applications, scholarships, and specific courses, allowing you to make a more informed decision if you decide to apply to schools.

  • Walk-in applicants are usually welcome, but it may take a while for them to be checked in during the event proper. Attendees are always advised to pre-register using the link posted on our website or social media pages.

  • Companions are welcome. You can bring your friends, parents, workmates, classmates, children, or spouse if their presence makes you feel more comfortable. For young adults (high school and college students and fresh graduates), bringing parents is highly encouraged but not required.

And just a side note: IDP's Study Abroad Education Fairs are 100% free. All you have to do is register, wait for the event date, and join.

Of course, you can bring a friend to share your experience with them. If you decide to book follow-up appointments and submit your school applications, you can join the raffle draws and get a chance to receive a brand-new luggage bag from the IDP team.

Preparation is key to making the most out of your visit to the fair. Before coming to the fair, it is advisable to prepare in advance by researching the participating universities and institutions and making a list of questions to ask the counsellors.

Once you have done your research and are ready to attend the fair, bringing the right documents is essential for receiving accurate advice, on-the-spot offers, and exploring scholarship opportunities.

To make the most of your visit, bring:

  • Photocopy of your passport/ID

  • Academic transcripts

  • IELTS test results

  • A notepad/device for taking notes

(we’re giving out an IDP notepad as part of your goodie bag!)
