French, B.A. to M.A. Accelerated Program

Saint Louis University’s accelerated B.A.M.A. in French offers qualified French majors the opportunity of beginning work toward the M.A. degree in French while completing requirements for the B.A. Students may apply up to 15 graduate credits to both the B.A. and M.A. degrees. For the B.A., those credits will all satisfy major electives.

Applying for the B.A./M.A. French program requires no application fee or standardized test scores. To apply, you must be an undergraduate who has declared a French major or have the equivalent. You must have a GPA of at least 3.00 in your French coursework and have completed a minimum of 45 undergraduate credit hours. To apply, you must complete the form for provisional acceptance to the accelerated bachelor's/master's program. Included in the application are the applicant’s curriculum vitae, a one-page goals statement, a writing sample in French and an interview. The materials are submitted to the department’s graduate coordinator in French.
