Are you dreaming of studying abroad? IDP Philippines just made that dream more attainable for aspiring students with the successful staging of the Study, Explore, Soar: Australia and New Zealand Education Fair 2026. This exciting event took place in two major cities—Cebu and Manila—on May 23 and May 30, respectively, creating a vibrant hub for students, parents, school representatives, and education professionals.

The fair welcomed 370 attendees, with 115 participants in Cebu and 255 participants in Manila. The strong turnout reflected the growing interest of Filipino students in pursuing international education, especially in Australia and New Zealand. The event also featured 25 participating schools, with 15 joining the Cebu leg and 21 in Manila, including several institutions that attended both events. This gave students more choices and a broader range of study options that best matched their goals, backgrounds, and plans.

Learn, Connect, Enjoy

More than just an Education Fair, Study, Explore, Soar became a comprehensive support hub for students seeking to better understand the study abroad process. One of the key activities was a series of study abroad seminars, where attendees learned about important topics, such as visa requirements, cost of living, tuition fees, application procedures, and general preparation for overseas education. These sessions helped make the study abroad journey feel clearer and more manageable, especially for students and families who were still in the early stages of planning.

Another important part of the Fair was the one-on-one counseling sessions with IDP’s education counselors. Attendees found the perfect school and program for them by sharing their academic backgrounds, budget concerns, and career goals through these personalized discussions. Counselors also helped the students understand the next steps they needed to take through guidance tailored to their needs and circumstances.

The highlight of the event was the school meetups, where attendees spoke directly with representatives from various Australian and New Zealand institutions. These face-to-face conversations allowed students to ask specific questions about courses, scholarships, campus life, admission requirements, support services, and opportunities after graduation.

For many attendees, this was one of the most meaningful parts of the Fair because it gave them direct access to the schools they were considering. It also helped them compare options and gain a better understanding of what life as an international student could be like.

Other activities

Aside from the academic and counseling activities, IDP Philippines also made the event more engaging through games, raffle draws, and interactive booths. Attendees had the chance to win school merchandise and even a large luggage bag, adding excitement to the event while keeping the atmosphere warm and welcoming.

IDP also mounted photobooths and employed roving photographers to help capture memorable moments throughout the day, making the Fair not only informative but also enjoyable for students and their families.

This year's Fair introduced features to make the event more inclusive. One highlight was the K-12 booth aimed at younger students attending with their parents, allowing families to ask questions about international education early on.

Another addition was a scholarship guide that helped students learn about scholarship opportunities to reduce study abroad costs. IDP Philippines also had the IDP Community Booth, encouraging attendees to connect with other students and find resources for studying abroad.

Into the future

The success of Study, Explore, Soar: Australia and New Zealand Education Fair 2026 showed IDP Philippines’ continued commitment to helping Filipino students make informed decisions about their international education journey. By bringing together expert counselors, school representatives, helpful resources, and engaging activities at a single event, IDP created an environment where students could ask questions, explore opportunities, and feel more confident about their future.

For students who were unable to attend, IDP Philippines will continue to host additional events, seminars, and counseling opportunities. The journey to studying abroad may feel overwhelming at first, but with the right guidance, preparation, and support, every student can take one step closer to their dream of studying, exploring, and soaring beyond borders. #
