Successful completion (with a grade of C or higher) of at least one course in each of the following categories:
Humanities (examples: fine arts, history, languages, literature, philosophy, or religion);
Physical and Biological Sciences (examples: biology, chemistry, anatomy, or physiology)
Mathematics (examples: calculus, college algebra, computer science, or statistics);
Social Sciences (examples: anthropology, economics, ethnic studies, gender studies, human development, international relations, political science, psychology, social work, or sociology) A minimum GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 credits of the bachelor’s degree.
The GRE is not required for admission to this program. Up-to-date résumé Three letters of recommendation that must have been written within the last academic year.
Academic: A professor from a previously attended college/university who taught you in a course. Letters from Field Seminar Instructors will not be accepted as academic letters. Third recommendation: A second academic or employment-based recommendation should be submitted for the third recommendation.
Professional Statement: Applicants must provide responses to each of the following questions, using separate headings for each. Please ensure that your total submission is between 3-6 pages. Please use headings for each question.
Writing Sample: Applicants must submit an individually authored research paper or literature review related to social work (applicants may submit a research paper submitted for a previous class as long as it is related to social work). The paper should be 5-10 pages in length, contain citations and a reference list in APA 7th edition format, and will be used to evaluate the applicant’s ability to write professionally.
Applicants applying to this program who have attended a college/university outside the United States must provide one official transcript and official certification of degree, with date awarded.
