Transfers

15 or more days before Listening, Reading, Writing Test Date
• Free Transfer is allowed

Within 5–14 days of Listening, Reading, Writing Test Date
• Transfer allowed – an administrative fee up to 25% of test fee paid is charged

Within 4 days of Listening, Reading, Writing Test Date
• No Transfer allowed – any transfer during this period is treated as a cancellation

Cancellation

15 or more days before Listening, Reading, Writing Test Date
• Cancellation is allowed – a refund of 75% of test fee paid can be claimed

Within 14 days of Listening, Reading, Writing Test Date
• Cancellation is allowed – Test fee is non-refundable

Exceptional circumstances and special consideration

Special consideration includes instances such as:

• a traumatic experience; domestic crisis

• unavoidable legal or military obligation

• serious medical conditions which prevent test takers from attending or performing normally on the test day

• bereavement or other forms of significant hardship; civil unrest or extreme weather

Apply before the test and up to two calendar days after the test date. Applications will not be accepted after results have been released.

A refund or transfer, in some cases, subject to an administrative fee.

Certain circumstances outside of test centre control:

• natural disaster; industrial action

• global pandemic or for reasons of force majeure

• civil unrest or extreme weather

• technical failure, venue or environmental factors

Choice of either a full refund, or a transfer to a future test date – whichever the test taker prefers.
