What is a Temporary Graduate Visa?

This visa is for foreign students who have just graduated from an educational institution in Australia. It allows new graduates to work temporarily in Australia.

Who Could Get This Visa?

• Age less than 50 years old

• Have a visa that meets the requirements

• Have a student visa that is at least 6 months old

• Have an English proficiency level as defined (one of the following):

• The Average IELTS score must not be less than 6 and the minimum score for each skill must not be less than 5

• OET is not less than B

• TOEFL iBT total score not less than 64 and must get a minimum score of each subject not less than 4 (listening), 4 (reading), 4 (writing), and 4 (speaking)

• The PTE total score must not be less than 50 points and the minimum score of each subject must not be less than 36 points

• The CAE total score must not be less than 169 points and the minimum score of each subject must not be less than 154 points

• Must have studied in Australia for at least 6 months

• Must be physically fit as required

• Must have health insurance in Australia

• Must have qualifications according to the conditions of the chosen visa type

• Graduate Work stream visa for diploma holders, valid for 18 Months

• Post-Study work stream visa for degree holders, valid for 2-4 years

What Can You Do?

This visa allows graduates to work, travel, or even continue studying in Australia. However, graduates are responsible for finding their own jobs; the Australian government does not play a role in job placement. This visa is not given every year, as the issuance depends on the number of foreign students each year. Therefore, don't forget to research thoroughly before going.
