รีวิวเรียนต่อคอร์ส BA (Hons) Textile Design ที่ Chelsea College of Arts กับน้องแพน เจ้าของแบรนด์ CELLS. มาอ่านข้อมูลประสบการณ์ตรงของน้องกันเลย

ทำไมเลือกเรียนที่ UAL

เริ่มแรกเลย เคยไปเที่ยวลอนดอนก่อนสมัครเข้าเรียนสาย Art & Design ที่ UAL ตอนอยู่ที่นั่นเห็น Museum Exhibition และ Gallery ที่น่าสนใจเต็มไปหมด เลยทำให้รู้สึกว่าบรรยากาศการเรียน Art & Design ที่นี่ต้อง ดีแน่ ๆ ค่ะ นอกจากนี้ UAL มีหลายแคมปัสมาก ตอนแรกยังไม่แน่ใจว่าชอบที่นี่จริงไหม เลยเข้าไปเรียน Foundation ก่อน แล้วก็มาตกหลุมรัก UAL จริง ๆ ก็ตอนไป Open House ของ Chelsea College of Arts ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในแคมปัสของ UAL บรรยากาศที่นั่นชิลมาก ทั้งตึกเรียนและชุมชนรอบ ๆ แถมติดกับมหาวิทยาลัยยังมี Tate Britain ซึ่งเป็น Art Gallery ว่าง ๆ ก็เดินเข้าไปชมได้ บรรยากาศล้อมรอบไปด้วยศิลปะสุด ๆ เลยค่ะ

คอร์สที่สมัครเป็นยังไงคะ

คอร์สแรกสุดที่แพนสมัครเข้าไปคือ Foundation Diploma in Art and Design ของ CCW เป็นการเตรียมความพร้อมด้านศิลปะก่อนที่จะเข้าเรียน BA จริง ๆ หลังจากนั้นก็ Apply เข้า BA Textile Design ในปีถัดไป ในคอร์ส Foundation มีหลาย Major ให้เลือก แพนเลือกเรียน Weaving หรือการทอผ้า ที่มหาวิทยาลัยมีเครื่องมือให้ใช้เพียบ สนุกมาก ๆ ค่ะ

ช่วยเล่าจุดเริ่มต้นของแบรนด์ CELLS. ให้เราฟังนิดนึงค่ะ

จุดเริ่มต้นของแบรนด์ CELLS. มาจากงาน Final Project ที่แพนทำตอนเรียน BA แพนชอบใช้เรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับ Medical Anatomy มาเป็นแรงบันดาลใจ ซึ่ง " CELLS" เป็นเหมือนจุดที่เล็กที่สุดในเรื่องราวเหล่านี้ แพนอยากเปรียบตัวเองเหมือน Cells ที่เมื่อรวมกันหลาย ๆ Cells ก็จะกลายเป็นอวัยวะต่าง ๆ และเมื่ออวัยวะรวมกัน หลาย ๆ อวัยวะ ก็จะกลายเป็นสิ่งมีชีวิต คำนี้เลยรู้สึกว่า Humble แต่ก็มีความ Impact ด้วย เลยชอบค่ะ

แบรนด์ของเราตอนนี้ทำกระเป๋าผ้าที่มีลวดลายเป็นหลัก จุดเริ่มต้นก็มาจากแพนชอบใช้กระเป๋าผ้า และอยากทำสินค้าที่มี Design ดี ๆ เป็นคอนเซปของตัวเองออกมา ส่วนใหญ่ก็จะเป็นเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับ Medical Anatomy หรือสิ่งมีชีวิตต่าง ๆ หวังว่าคนที่ผ่านมาเห็นจะชอบสินค้าจากแบรนด์เราเหมือนที่เราตั้งใจทำค่ะ
