Community colleges in California, as well as in the U.S. as a whole, often have lower entry requirements than direct college admissions, which makes it easier for international students to pursue higher education. Among the colleges in California, Vietnamese students can choose schools with high rankings such as De Anza College, Foothill-De Anza Colleges. There are also schools that do not require English language entry such as Santa Barbara City College or require IELTS 4.5 such as Riverside Community College.
1. DE ANZA Community College
Located 45 miles south of San Francisco, De Anza College is spread over 112 acres in Cupertino in the heart of Silicon Valley. Cupertino is also home to Apple, Symantec, Sun, Hewlett-Packard, and other high-tech companies. With the criteria of quality and innovation, De Anza College has been one of the prestigious community colleges in the entire United States for nearly 4 decades. 1.2 Curriculum
De Anza College offers more than 90 2-year programs to earn an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree and transfer programs to the University. Some of the main and well-known majors attract many international students such as: Graphics, Biology, Health and Environmental Sciences, Broadcasting, Business Administration, Children's Personality Development, Computer Information Systems, Graphic Design and Computer Graphics, etc Linguistics, Nursing, Medical Technology, Social Sciences and Humanities.

2. Foothill Colleges – De Anza Colleges
The university is located in the dynamic San Francisco Bay Area, in the heart of the world-famous Silicon Valley, 45 minutes south of San Francisco (the main international airport) and 20 minutes west of San Jose, making it the 10th largest city in the United States.
For more than 50 years, Foothill and De Anza have been consistently ranked among the top two-year colleges in the U.S. for academic excellence and successful transfer to the world's best universities. Currently, the university ranks first in terms of the number of transfer students to the University of California and the California State University system.

International students who study for 2 years at Foothill and De Anza College achieve corresponding scores of prestigious universities in the US such as the University of California, California State University, University of California at Berkeley, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), University of San Francisco, University of Michigan, etc. will be able to transfer 2 years to that university, helping international students save on university study costs.

3. Santa Barbara City College
Santa Barbara College (SBCC) was founded in 1909 and is considered one of the top community colleges in the state of California as well as in the United States, offering a wide variety of programs for students to choose from.

3.4. Housing

Although, the Santa Barbara College campus does not have separate dormitories, the school can still help and support you for a short time when you move in.
3.5. Travel
The city of Santa Barbara is an ideal place for walking. Many students choose to ride bicycles to school, and it is also very convenient to take the bus. Maybe a car will be very convenient for getting around the city, but you don't need a car to study in Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara has a small airport for domestic flights to cities like San Francisco. There is also a train stop in the city center.
4. American Riverside Community College
Riverside Community College (RCC) was founded in 1916 in Southern California, about an hour's drive east of Los Angeles. In 1991, RCC opened two more campuses in the neighboring cities of Norco and Moreno Valley. Within 30 miles around Riverside there are more than 25 universities. Attractions such as Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, the San Bernardino Mountains, the Palm Springs Desert, and Disneyland are also just about an hour's drive from Riverside. The weather is temperate, like the Mediterranean climate.
RCC has three campuses that provide a general education program equivalent to the knowledge of the first 2 years of university for students to transfer to universities and complete the last 2 years of study to obtain a bachelor's degree about 30,000 students from many countries around the world. In each half-year semester, the university offers more than 2,000 classes for more than 70 majors. In addition to classes taught to prepare students for transfer to a four-year school, RCC also offers Associate degrees to students after attending the school for two years (or 60 units). In addition, RCC also has certification programs for many professions.
4.1 Riverside Community College Curriculum
The International Student Center at Riverside Community College helps students choose the right courses that are accepted for transfer to California State Universities and the University of California, as well as to private colleges and universities across the United States. In addition to transfer courses, the University also organizes Associate degree courses, which are awarded after two years of study (or 60 credits). The courses that are commonly chosen by international students to study are Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Road and Bridge Construction, English, and Office Administration.
